CourseBrain is an AI-powered desktop study assistant that lets students organize course materials, chat with their course content, and use on-screen study assistance (Screen Assist). Features may change over time as the product evolves.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use CourseBrain for lawful, personal study purposes. You must not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it in violation of your institution's academic integrity policies. You are responsible for how you use AI-generated explanations and guidance.
CourseBrain is a study aid. It is not intended to provide answers during exams or assessments where outside assistance is prohibited.
4. Accounts and Subscriptions
When account and subscription features launch, some features will require an account and a paid Pro subscription. Pricing and billing terms will be presented at checkout and may be updated with notice.
You may cancel a Pro subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
5. Intellectual Property
CourseBrain and its branding, software, and content are owned by CourseBrain. You retain ownership of the course materials you upload. You grant us the limited rights needed to process those materials to provide the service to you.
6. AI-Generated Content
AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always verify important information against your official course materials. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CourseBrain will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
